Older Patients

If you are 75 years of age or older and have not had a consultation in the last 12 months, you may ask for a health check to be carried out. If, due to your health, you are unable to attend surgery, this health check may be carried out in your home.

Maternity Services

Women needing to arrange the first booking appointment should log on to www.mypregnancynotes.com to register. Once you are registered you can expect to be contacted by a member of the team within 3 working days to arrange your first midwife appointment. 

  If you need further help or are unable to access the online service you can phone the Maternity enquiry  line on 01484 355754   Monday - Friday between 9am-1pm . Early pregnancy unit 01422 24415  call this number if you are 6-16 weeks pregnant and you have pain or bleeding.

Contraceptive Services

We offer full contraceptive services including the fitting of coils and emergency contraception.  We have a dedicated family planning clinic which runs once a month on a Friday Afternoon.

Cervical Screening

The practice nurse carries out cervical screening for women aged between 25 and 64.

 

Child Health Promotion

We monitor the health, well-being and development of children under the age of 5.  A clinic  is held on Tuesday afternoon from 1.00pm for baby medical examinations  and immunisations with the doctor and Practice nurse.  These are by appointment only.  

The Health Visiting Team now run drop in clinics in local locations.  Please ask reception for further details.

Blood Samples (phlebotomy)

 

Phlebotomy appointments are held here at the surgery   on a Monday morning between 8am and 9am. Appointment only.

A phlebotomy clinic is held at Rastrick health centre on a Tuesday afternoon for our patients to attend by appointment only.

Evening appointments are also available at Rastrick health Centre .

Bookable appointments are available at Broad Street Plaza between 8am and 10am, 7 days a week. You can call to book an appointment on 01484 343332 between 8.30am and 10.30am Monday to Friday. Open Access Phlebotomy will be available as follows: Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm Saturday 10am to 12noon Sunday 10am to 11.30am. (Patients must collect the request form from the practice and take it with them)

Travel Vaccinations

If you're planning to travel outside the UK, you may need to be vaccinated against some of the serious diseases found in other parts of the world.

 

Non-NHS Services

Most of the services we provide are free of charge.  There are some, however, which are not provided by the NHS and for which we must charge a fee.
